General Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions form the basis on which you can visit us and our website. Please read them carefully as they contain important information.

Contract of Sale
It should not be possible to order any item that is not in stock. You can only place items in your basket that are currently in stock meaning that you can shop with confidence that the items that you have chosen will be with you within a few days.
We aim to keep items in stock at all times but as our product range is either imported or hand-made this means that inevitably there may be breaks in supply.
Occasionally, stock levels may be incorrect and you will be contacted. That means your order is an offer, not a contract of sale between you and RubyRouge.co.uk, so stock availability and price won’t be contractually confirmed until you receive a ‘confirmation of despatch’ email which will be sent once your order has been successfully picked and we can confirm stock levels have been checked.
Prices and stock are not contractually confirmed until you receive the confirmation of despatch sent to the email account provided by you. We reserve the right to withdraw from sale any items that have been priced up incorrectly. Any contracts or agreements formed between yourself and Ruby Rouge through this website shall be governed and construed according to English law and any disputes or proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
These terms and conditions cannot be varied except by changes made by Ruby Rouge on the site, which we may make from time to time. In particular, nothing said by any representative of Ruby Rouge will operate as a variation to these terms and condition or constitutes a legal representation on behalf of either of them.
1. The contract between us
Ruby Rouge Terms:
1. The ‘Seller’ means RubyRouge.co.uk. The ‘Purchaser’ means the person whose order is accepted by the Seller.
2. We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.
3. Delivery can be made within the UK, Europe and Worldwide. All UK deliveries must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over.
4. As soon as an order is placed, the Purchaser is deemed to have agreed to, and is bound by, the terms and conditions herein described by the Seller. We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order, before your order can be accepted. Your payment of the price for the goods, represents an offer on your part to purchase the goods, which will be accepted to us when we send to you an email that the goods have been sent to you. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
5. A contract of sale is deemed to exist as soon as the Seller dispatches an email message to the Purchaser, confirming that the Seller has received the Purchaser’s order, regardless of whether the Purchaser receives the confirmation email or not.
6. Liability for delay: The Seller will use their reasonable endeavours to deliver goods promptly but accept no liability for delay in delivery for any cause. If an item is temporarily out of stock and dispatch is anticipated to be greater than 7 working days, we will contact you by email or telephone to arrange a new delivery date, if this is not satisfactory a refund will be given.
7. Refunds: The Seller offers a full refund on all goods that are returned by the Purchaser within 7 working days of despatch. The cost of returning goods to the Seller for refund is the responsibility of the Purchaser. See also Returns Policy.
8. Delivery: All prices are shown in GB Pounds Sterling. All orders will be despatched by Royal Mail either First Class, or First Class Recorded delivery as standard within the UK and the cost is dependent on weight. Royal Mail Europe £5.50 and Worldwide Royal Mail £6.50.
If you require fast delivery please contact us by phone before ordering to upgrade your delivery to Special Delivery which guarantees a next day delivery before 1 .00 pm.
9. Compatibility: The Seller does not guarantee that this website will be compatible with your PC, and we accept no liability for any corruption or loss of data held on your PC, or any liability for any other loss or damage of any kind caused to your PC resulting from use of this website
10. Liability: Liability of the Seller for direct or indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the supply of any goods or their use by the purchaser howsoever caused even if RubyRouge.co.uk have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage is excluded. The Seller’s entire liability under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall not exceed the price of the goods purchased by the purchaser, except as expressly provided in these conditions.
Goods shall be used by the purchaser in accordance with any accompanying instructions or directions by the manufacturers, and such instructions and directions are held to be incorporated into these terms and conditions.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict any liability the exclusion or restriction of which is prohibited under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. The Seller shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising out of any delay or failure of performance of any of the contract directly or indirectly caused by or resulting from Force Majeure.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: English law applies to this contract.
Return Process
Complete the Returns Form to request an exchange, return or refund. When we receive this email we will reply with a return reference number and details of how to return the product(s). We will respond as soon as we can.
Please note that we operate a strict 7 working day returns policy and items of pierced jewellery are non returnable. Read our full returns policy before proceeding. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing with tags attached and be in an unworn condition. We will not refund goods that have been worn, do not have their original packaging or show obvious signs of abuse. We do not accept unauthorised returns.
We operate a 7 working day returns policy. To request a return, exchange or refund please complete our returns form. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item or items to us in their original, unworn condition within 7 working days of receipt. Please note that your return should be received by us within this 7 working day period. We will issue a refund within 28 days. In the interests of hygiene we do not accept returns of pierced jewellery unless faulty. If you should receive a faulty or damaged item, please notify us within seven days. We will not process claims for goods received as faulty after this period of time.
To arrange a return, or if the item you received is faulty or is not what you originally ordered, please complete our returns form. When we receive this email we will reply with a return number and details of how to return the product(s). We will respond as soon as we can. We do not accept unauthorised returns.
The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. We will not be held responsible for returns that are lost in transit.
If you are returning an item to us for a refund or an exchange then the cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. Your original postage costs will not be refunded unless the item you received was sent in error or is faulty (providing we are notified of faults within 7 days of receipt).
All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing with tags attached and be in an unworn condition. We will not refund goods that have been worn, do not have their original packaging or show obvious signs of abuse. Goods that are returned to us without their original packaging will be refunded less a deduction of 10%. Goods that show obvious signs of wear or abuse will be returned to the buyer.
Returns received outside the 7-day time frame are accepted at the discretion of RubyRouge.co.uk and can only be refunded as a store credit.
In the interests of fraud prevention, your refund will be issued by the same method that you paid within 28 days of receipt of the return.
Late and Lost Deliveries:
If your delivery has been delayed, then please contact us and we will provide you with the tracking number to enable you to chase it up with the Royal Mail. Quite often, a delivery attempt has been made but a card has not been left. Any order discrepancies relating to missing/lost items must be reported to us in writing via our contact form within 24 hours of receipt of your order.
We cannot refund or replace lost items until 15 working days after the date of despatch (25 working days for international items) – this is when the Royal Mail classes items as being lost. If your item is time sensitive, we recommend the use of our next day delivery service.
International delivery – When items are sent to another country, your parcel is often handled by more than one postal service. When we send a parcel abroad, the actual delivery of the item will be the responsibility of the postal service in the country the items are going to. Delays can often be caused by customs checks, which can sometimes take up to 1-2 weeks.
Items not received but tracked as being delivered – This frequently happens when items are delivered to places of work. In some cases, your item might have been delivered to a post room or colleague within your company and someone else will have signed for it. In these cases, you can request a proof of delivery certificate from the Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) by filling in a signature request form. Please note that we do not refund or replace items that are tracked as being delivered. For this reason, we always recommend that you get items delivered to a secure address.
RubyRouge.co.uk cannot be held responsible for goods that are lost or delayed in transit.
2. Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to RubyRouge.co.uk Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose without prior permission.
Looking after your details
At RubyRouge.co.uk, we take your privacy seriously, so we promise that:
- We won’t use your personal data for any purpose that you have not agreed to, without first letting you know how and why we’d like to use your details. We will of course, always ensure that we have your permission first.
- We won’t transfer any of your personal data to other companies, or individuals unless you’ve said it’s okay, or if we’re required to do so by law.
- We’ll let you have access to your personal data to correct any inaccuracies or errors if you request.
- We’ll do our very best to ensure your personal data is kept safe and secure. We’ll never sell your personal data to a third party or to direct marketing companies.
- We will endeavour to keep improving our service to you – that’s the main reason for using your data – we want to offer you the very best products, together with the best possible experience.
Postage Rates:
Postage rates depend on the weight of your order, the country we are shipping to and the service selected. The postage charges will be shown on the checkout page before you enter your card details. If you require next day delivery, this is additional cost and you will be advised on this when you call us to make the arrangements.
Delivery Information:
UK Standard Delivery – costs £3.50 per item by Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded delivery. This service requires a signature on receipt and provides an online confirmation of delivery. Delivery is generally next day but can sometimes take longer. If your order is required by a specific date we recommend you use our next day delivery service.
UK Next Day Delivery – costs from £4.95 per item according to weight, and is available on orders placed before 1pm. We send our UK next day delivery packages by Royal Mail Special Delivery which will ensure delivery on the following day. This service requires a signature on receipt. Please note that the Royal Mail do not guarantee delivery on a Saturday with this service and it excludes public holidays. Orders placed after 1pm will be sent the following working day. Delivery to some areas of the UK such as the Highlands and Islands may take longer – please check with the Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) for details.
International Delivery – costs from £6.95 per order. We send our international packages by Royal Mail International Signed For. This service requires a signature on receipt. All items are tracked until they leave the UK – and in some cases on arrival in the destination country. When the item reaches its destination country it is handed over to the local postal service for delivery through their regular registered service. A signature will be taken at the delivery address which means the item is not left unattended or posted through a letter box. If no-one is available to sign for the item, then it will be retained by the postal administration for a subsequent delivery attempt or collection by the addressee.
We aim to despatch your order within 1-3 working days from the time of ordering (with the exception of goods sent by our Next Day service). If it is likely to take longer then we will let you know, although this is uncommon. All orders require a signature on receipt.
We endeavour to keep adequate stock of all items listed on our website, however in the event of an item being out of stock you are entitled to choose either to wait until it arrives back in stock, or to cancel your order. If an item you order should be out of stock we will advise you as soon as possible.
All payments must be received and authorised before shipment.
