Torso Glazed Stoneware
This is a very special piece and no two are the same. There are up to six different glazes on the torso, and are sprayed on in order to build up the layers. The firing causes them to fuse and run, which creates different textures and colours.
Some of the glazes used contain manganese, barium, copper and cobalt oxide, which combined gives a very metalic bronze like finish. The Torsos are designed to be wall hung and have lugs and a hanging wire attached. They can be hung inside or outside but look absolutely fabulous on a white wall inside. The approximate size is 57 cm in height and 45 cm in width.
